City Clerk

Responsibilities
The City Clerk is responsible for distributing and maintaining accurate records of all City proceedings, including:
  • All City Council actions, including agendas, minutes, ordinances, and resolutions
  • Cemetery plots
  • Contracts and agreements
  • Claims and suits
  • Liquor licenses, cigarette and tobacco permits, taxi company licenses, taxicab decals, peddlers permits, sound permits, and block party applications
The City Clerk also helps with all City, State, or federal government elections and accepts applications for boards and commissions positions. The City Clerk also assists staff in researching information.
