All new accounts are charged a $30 activation fee to start the account. The fee will appear on the first utility bill. Start utility service.

Deposit
Deposit Amount
A deposit is required to start utility service for all rental and commercial accounts.

  • Residential Property Deposit: $80 per unit.
  • Commercial Account Deposit: Varies by the nature of the business and the projected water use. The deposit amount is the usual cost of 90 days of service for a similar business type in the city.

Start Date & Deposit
The Utility Billing Department must receive the deposit before the start date of the account to ensure service is available on the requested day.

End of Service & Deposit
The deposit stays with the utility account until the service is terminated. When that occurs, the deposit is applied towards the final bill. Any remainder is refunded to the account holder. The deposit is non-transferable to another location or person. Stop utility service
