4thFest 5K
Kick off your 4thFest with the 2023 4thFest 5K on Saturday, July 1, at 8:00 am. Entries received by June 20 are guaranteed a t-shirt.
Course & Awards
The 5K fun-run is challenging enough to satisfy experienced runners, but not too difficult for new runners. It is hilly, has two water stations, and starts and finishes near the Coralville Recreation Center. Parking is available across the street at Northwest Junior High School. Maps are available at the Coralville Recreation Center. View 5K route
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, and the top three finishers in each age group: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.

Same-Day Registration
Same-day registration is $45 from 7:00 to 7:45 am on the morning of the event at the Coralville Recreation Center, 1506 8th Street.

Bib pickup is at the Coralville Recreation Center, 1506 8th Street:
- Pre-registered participants: Friday, June 30, 2023, 5:00-7:00 pm
- Same-day registrants: Saturday, July 1, 2023, 7:00-7:45 am

At approximately 9:00 am, children up to age 6 can participate for free in the 4thFest Firecracker Kids Mini-Marathon (26.2 yards) in the Recreation Center parking lot. No registration needed.
Stars and Stripes Youth Cross Park Race
Saturday, July 1, 2023, 10:00 am
In S.T. Morrison Park, for ages 5-11; registration required.
Cost: $12 Coralville residents; $15 non-residents
