Summer Camp Modifications


We are excited about our summer camps for 2021. Information will be posted in the future about modifications to ensure a safe summer for our campers, staff members, and the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Youth Summer Programs

Coralville Parks and Recreation offers several summer day camps for youth: 
All Day Camps
  • SPARK: For youth who have completed kindergarten through entering sixth grade; Monday-Friday, all day.
  • Trail Trekkers: For youth entering sixth through ninth grades; Monday-Thursday, all day. 
Partial Day Camps


  • CCPA Theater Camps: Age range varies by week; Monday-Friday, part day.
  • Specialty Camps: Age range varies by week; Monday-Friday, part day.

SPARK Day Camp (Grades K-6)


General Information
Thank you for your interest in SPARK (Summer Park And Rec Kids) Day Camp. We can’t wait to put the SPARK in the Summer of 2021!

There will be camp for the summer of 2021, however we are allowing extra time to prepare summer camp information
given the current circumstances due to the pandemic. 

Below is the information we know at this time and what is still being determined.

About SPARK (Summer Park and Rec Kids) up your child's summer at Coralville Parks and Recreation's weekly themed summer camps!
Age Completed kindergarten through entering sixth grade
Days Monday-Friday
Dates 8 weekly sessions, June 21-August 13, 2021
Times
  • 8:15 am-4:30 pm (basic)
  • 7:30 am-5:30 pm (early/late option)
Activities Outdoor time, swimming, games, crafts, and special events. 
Health Precautions We continue to monitor the requirement for masks and other health precautions based upon the recommendation of Johnson County Public Health and the City of Coralville. 
Location Coralville Recreation Center and S.T. Morrison Park.

If registration supports a second site, information will be provided when determined by Coralville Parks and Recreation.
Weekly Cost
  • Basic camp (8:15-4:30 pm): $190 per child
  • Early/late camp (7:30 am-5:30 pm): $215 per child
  • Additional out of town field trip fee: $40* 
*Covers transportation and admittance fee. Field trips are being considered, but it is to be determined if out of town trips will be a part of our plans. If feasible, out of town trips will occur approximately every other session.
Discounts 10% discount per child, if registered for six (6) or more weekly sessions
Registration Register on a week-by-week basis (register for just the weekly sessions needed). Partial week registrations are not available.
