Aquatics: Lifeguard |

Part-time - $15.00/hour (upon completion of orientation)
10 hours or more per week

Lifeguarding is a great job for anyone who likes to swim, and interact with children and adults. Minimum 10 hours a week preferred.
Interested in working as a lifeguard but don’t have the certification? We have opportunities throughout the year to get you certified. Contact Amy Erickson for details.
Maintain a clean and safe swimming environment, assist with daily pool activities, and provide good customer service. Weekdays and weekends. Must be at least 15 years old to take American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course. Must be strong swimmer to pass prerequisites. Certification required: Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR-PR, and First Aid (we offer training to earn certification).

Swim Lesson Staff
Part-time - $15.00/hour (upon completion of orientation)

Hiring year-round
Assist and/or lead swim lessons for all ages. Specific weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and/or weekend mornings depending on the season.
Must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience teaching swim lessons or swim team experience preferred.
Aquatics: Water Safety Instructor |

Water safety instructors teach life-long swimming skills! Specific weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and/or weekend mornings depending on the season.
Instruct and lead swim lessons for all ages, ranging from infants to adults. Must be at least 16 years old. Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification required.

Help lead the team at the Coralville Community Aquatic Center!
Lead staff in maintaining a safe and clean facility for the public. Responsible for administrative tasks, maintenance, public relations, and staffing of the Aquatic Center. Weekdays and weekends. Must be at least 18 years old. Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR-PR, and First Aid required.
Before & After School Counselor |

BASP is Coralville's Before and After School Program. Do you have a desire to impact the lives of children?
Lead a variety of activities with school-age children during their out-of-school time. You will leave each shift feeling like a super hero with this unique work experience! We believe to play is to learn. Must be at least 18 years old.

Concessions and front desk workers have good customer service skills, can accurately make changes, and help create a great experience at the pool.
Greet pool patrons at the front desk, and serve customers by selling food and drink at Coralville's outdoor pool. Must be at least 16 years old.

Youth Sports Park Concessions

Concessions workers have good customer service skills, can accurately make change, and help create a great experience at sporting events.
Serve customers by selling pop, water, pizza, hotdogs, popcorn, and candy. Work evenings and some weekends. Must be at least 15 years old; Youth Sports Park location includes beer sales and must be at least 18 years old.

Bunkers Bar & Grill offers both inside and outdoor food service areas. Available hours include early morning through evening opportunities. Expectations include working as a team and good cash management skills. Perks include food discounts and free golf!

Are you energetic and self-driven? Can you work well on your own and among a team? This is also perfect for retirees looking to get outside a few hours a day.
Positions include fairway mowers, rough mowers, greens mowers, cup cutters, and various other maintenance tasks. Perks include an employee discount and free golf. High school or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license required.
Golf Course Pro Shop |

The Pro Shop is the first point of contact for golf customers. This job is a good fit if you have excellent customer service skills, can multi-task, and have a general understanding of golf course operations.
Ring up customers, sell golf merchandise, reserve tee times, restock merchandise and supplies. Good written and oral communication required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be at least 18 years old.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working outdoors and takes pride in helping Coralville shine.
Our horticulture team maintains city flower beds, streetscape flower pots, and community gardens. Our athletic fields team preps, maintains, and repairs ball fields, with some weekend hours available. Our parks grounds team mows and trims parks and city property, maintains mowers, repairs turf, and does spring and fall cleanup.

A recreation associate is at the heart of helping the public at the Coralville Recreation Center!
Supervise patrons, provide excellent customer service, answer phones, light cleaning, light clerical work. One year part-time experience in recreation preferred; experience working with and around middle school students; general knowledge of sports and recreation.

Ace! Supervise sand volleyball league, answer participant questions, record scores, and help with weather related cancellations. Must be at least 18 years old.

Supervise youth soccer program, answer parents' questions, assist coaches, fill in as needed. Weeknights. Must be at least 18 years old.
Sports Site Manager: Creekside |

If you have an interest in sports, are task-oriented, have good organization and communication skills, and are able to work evenings and some weekends, managing Creekside Ballpark is for you!
Supervise umpires and league play. Responsible for inventory and nightly deposits. Manage the concession stand. Check fields for playability and oversee staff. Help with decisions on weather and cancellations. Must be at least 18 years old.
Sports Site Manager: YSP |

SPARK is Coralville's Summer Parks and Rec Kids day camp. Do you have a desire to impact the lives of school-age children?
Lead activities and supervise children, ages 6-12, at day camp. This action-packed position requires patience, understanding, energy, and leadership. Must be at least 18 years old.
Trail Trekkers: Assistant & Head Instructors |
Trail Trekkers Assistant & Head Instructors
Part-time - $14.00-$16.00/hour
June-August
Hop on your bike! Lead junior high students in community service learning projects and self-development opportunities. The group travels by bike through the Coralville area. Then swim, explore, and go on field trips!
Work Monday-Thursday for nine weeks, with Fridays off. Working bike and helmet required. Bike up to 10 miles a day.
Umpire: Adult Softball |
Adult Softball League Umpire
Part-time - $21.50/game

Take me out to the ball game! Help maintain the standards of play at the Creekside Softball Complex.
Umpire adult softball games (four games a night) on weeknights. USA umpire certification preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years old
