My vehicle has been impounded. How do I get it back?
If your vehicle has been impounded by the Coralville Police Department, your vehicle will need to be released by our agency before you will be able to pick it up from the towing company. The registered owner of the vehicle must present themselves to the Coralville Police Department with a photo ID to sign the vehicle release form. If for any reason the registered owner is not able to present themselves to the Coralville Police Department, the person intending to sign the vehicle release form must present their photo ID along with a notarized letter from the registered owner indicating their desire to have that agent pick up their vehicle from impound.
